At dusk you will be immersed in a surreal white cloud. The massive presence of insects stimulates the trout with an incredible food frenzy. It happens often during our days on the river, that we are casting in the middle of a Rhenana hatch, which makes the river literally “boil” around you. It’s a truly an experience not to be missed. Volturno is a large river where small streams and both shallow and deep blades alternate.

Fly fishing is a technical challenge, especially nymph fishing, since the trout will not tolerate the slightest dredging. The ideal fishing technique for the Volturno river is dry fly fishing. In some sections of the river the presence of grayling can also be seen.
